About Bethel Chapel
Bethel Chapel is a Christ-centered, Bible-believing church affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC), located in the welcoming community of Selkirk, Manitoba. Our multi-generational congregation of 100-120 and up to 30 children, is committed to vibrant worship, biblical teaching, discipleship, and outreach. Our mission is to glorify God by making disciples who love God, love others, and serve our community.
We are prayerfully seeking a Lead Pastor who will shepherd our church family, preach the Word faithfully, and lead us in fulfilling our mission with humility, fervor, wisdom, and Spirit-led vision.
Key Responsibilities
Preaching & Teaching: Deliver biblically sound, Gospel-centred, Spirit-led sermons and lead regular Bible studies
Spiritual Leadership: Provide pastoral care, counseling, and spiritual guidance to individuals and families, including home and hospital visitations
Vision & Strategy: Collaborate with church leadership to develop and implement a clear vision for ministry and growth
Leadership Development: Equip and mentor ministry leaders, staff, and volunteers.
Community Engagement: Represent Bethel Chapel in the local community and foster outreach initiatives
Administrative Oversight: Work alongside the church Board to manage operations, budgets, and ministry planning
Qualifications
A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to personal spiritual disciplines
A degree in theology, ministry, or a related field (seminary or Bible College preferred)
Minimum 3–5 years of pastoral experience
Strong preaching, teaching, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with people of diverse socio-political beliefs
Proven track record of reliability, integrity and hard work
Credentialed or eligible for credentialing with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC)
Alignment with Bethel Chapel’s statement of faith and the theological distinctives of the PAOC
A heart for discipleship, evangelism, and community outreach
