Evangel Pentecostal Church is currently looking for a lead pastor to overseeing a multi-cultural and diverse congregation. Evangel church is a well-established church and has been around for 50 plus years. Our congregation consists of families of all ages with an increase in families with young children.
Evangel Church is looking for an individual who is:
- Prayerful, Spirit-led, able to lead in Biblical Teaching
- Able to mentor and equip teams to lead and/or participate in the various ministries of our church
- Experienced in applying innovative approaches to church administration and community outreach and…
- Has a heart for local, regional and international Missions
Evangel Church reaches out to the community through various events during the year. Some of which include:
- Childrens Summer Camp that runs for two weeks each year
- Grounds cleaning & a Prayer Tent at the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition (yearly circus)
- Monthly church luncheons
- International Thanksgiving Dinner for our out-of-town students who are unable to go home for the holiday
- A Christmas Pageantry called 'A Night in Bethlehem' - open to all residents of Thunder Bay and surrounding area
- Our community has many outreach opportunities to help the homeless, the less fortunate and those caught in addictions
This opportunity is located in Thunder Bay, Ontario. A beautiful, small city on the shores of Lake Superior, which is the largest fresh-water lake in the world. With a population of approximately 107,500, it has the peacefulness of a small city. Wide-open spaces and clean air make outdoor activities possible in every season. (Hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and outdoor sports etc… all year round)
Thunder Bay is fortunate to have a world class university, Lakehead University, sitting on our doorstep. We also have Confederation College within walking distance. We are in a great position to mentor the International Students from around the world, who descend on our town each year. Many of these students become involved in the various ministries of the church.
