Passing of Grace Priest
One of pioneers of the Alberta and NWT District receives her heavenly reward.
Mrs. C. Grace Priest (Deaconess) went home to be with her Lord on Friday, June 25 at 102 years of age. She was predeceased by her husband Dan (Ordained) in December 2000. Grace held her credential under the B.C. and Yukon District of the PAOC but along with her husband were faithful pioneers in the “north” of the Alberta and NWT District. Grace received the Deaconess Credential with the PAOC in 1951 in the Eastern Ontario District and served in ministry in Ontario, Manitoba and the North West Territories. In 1967, Dan and Grace Priest became the founding pastors in Kugluktuk, NT (formerly Coppermine, NWT) where they served until the mid 1970’s before retiring in Kaslo, B.C. in 1977.

Rev. Dan and Grace Priest served as faithful ministers of the gospel in the NWT and their influence will continue to bring increase to the Kingdom of God even after many years. Please pray for God’s comfort and strength for Grace’s family in her passing.
Passing of Ruth Hiscock
It is with sadness; we notify you that Mrs. Ruth Hiscock, after celebrating 92 years of life and ministry, passed away peacefully at Shepherd Lodge this past Saturday, June 5, 2010. Ruth was predeceased in 1992 by her husband, Rev. Reginald T. Hiscock. She is the loving mother of Rev. Dale R. Hiscock (Executive Director AsiaLink Ministries). Having been raised in the Edmonton area Ruth responded to God’s calling and was a graduate of Western Bible College in Winnipeg in 1943. She then pastored in Teulon, Manitoba and served as an evangelist till she returned to her home church, Central Pentecostal Tabernacle in Edmonton where she was asked to set up a children’s outreach program as the Director of Bible Clubs and ended up directing 23 Bible clubs throughout Edmonton that over a three-year span shared the gospel with 23,327 children. During this time she also directed Central’s Radio program and was appointed the Bible Truth Crusade Director for Alberta. She taught at the Canadian Northwest Bible Institute (Vanguard College) in it’s first year. She worked with Dr. W.C. Pierce and D.N Buntain for a number of years. She then went on staff at Temple Bible College in Edmonton and taught there for several years prior to teaching at the Chicago Bible College with Pastors Rasmussen and Mattsson Boze
During her married life she, and her husband, pastored in Ayton, Wiarton, Ridgetown, South Porcupine, Tweed and Westmeath.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 10, 2010 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, immediately followed by the funeral service taking place at Beachburg Pentecostal Tabernacle located at 1757 Beachburg Road Beachburg, ON K0J 1C0 (613-582-3473).

Passing of Pearle (Smith) Hutchinson
This is to notify you of the passing of Pearle Mildred (Smith) Hutchinson at age 85 years, on May 31, 2010, in Parry Sound, Ont.
Pearle attended the Bible College when it was in Toronto (not sure the years but during the time of Laurie Price, Uptons, Hope Smith). She received her Deaconess credential in 1954 and then Ministerial License for Women credential in 1960 with PAOC. She served as administrator at Shepherd Lodge for a time, and was the Assistant Pastor in Lunenburg and Markham in the 1970’s. She recently received the fifty year certificate acknowledging 50 yrs of active ministry.
She is survived by children David, Rev. Noel (Canadian Director of Asian Outreach), Heather and Laurel. Predeceased by husband, David Sr. Funeral at Parry Sound Pentecostal Tabernacle, June 4th, 11 am.
Passing of Ernest E. Smythe
It is with sadness; we notify you that Rev. Ernest E. Smythe, passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday, May 24, 2010. Ernie is the beloved husband of Georgina, loving father of Kathleen and David (Jennifer) and grandfather of Andrew. Ernie and Georgina faithfully served in Collingwood, Magnetawan, Wiarton, Durham, Kirkland Lake, Barrie, Drayton and Simcoe. He was also available to Western Ontario District as a Pulpit Supply Pastor in his retirement.

Passing of Gloria Pahl
It is with sadness and celebration, we inform you that Mrs. Gloria M. Pahl passed into the presence of her Lord on Friday, May 14, 2010. Gloria was born on December 9,1942 and was credentialed with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada since 1975. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Rev. Eric H. Pahl, their children, Arnie and Saralyn (Moerman) and their families. Gloria served faithfully with her husband in ministry in Saskatchewan, Alberta, The North West Territories, British Columbia and Alaska.
A Memorial Service for Gloria will be held at Spruce Grove Community Church, Spruce Grove, Alberta on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 11:00 am.
Passing of Susanne Heidt
SUSANNE HEIDT, wife of the late Rev. Jacob Heidt, previous Superintendent of the German Branch of the PAOC went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 29th. The funeral will be conducted at the Walas Funeral Home in Warkworth Ontario on Tuesday, May 4 at 2:00 PM.
Susanne held the Deaconess credential since 1960 and ministered alongside her husband in Montreal, Toronto, Burlington, Scarborough and London.
Passing of Robert C. Stott
Robert C. Stott, 92 passed into the presence of his Lord on April 17, 2010 at The Harrison in Elim Village, Surrey, BC. Bob pastored for more than 40 years in Canada and with the Assemblies of God in the USA. He began his ministry by pastoring and building the first church in Beaver Falls, BC, pastoring and building the first PAOC church in Maple Ridge BC and pastoring in Winlock and Renton, WA. Bob was blessed with many joys , but none greater than living to see both his son Darrel Stott and grandson Darren (DJ) Stott accept God’s call to the ministry; seeing them as extensions of his own ministry in sharing his passion for seeing souls saved around the world. Bob is survived by two daughters, Sharron and Gail and their families and two sons Darrel and Grant and their families. The funeral was on April 23rd, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Renton WA, with his grandson Rev. DJ Stott officiating.
Passing of Rev. Lloyd L. Dickinson
Lloyd Dickinson was promoted to the loving arms of his Lord and Saviour at the Dover Cliffs Long Term Care Home on Sunday, March 28th, 2010 in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Muriel (Cochrane) Dickinson (Nov. 19th, 2000). Dad is lovingly remembered by his sons and grandchildren, Ralph Dickinson and his wife Sharon of Port Dover, their daughters Andrea & Rachelle Pearce (David); and Ivan Dickinson and his wife Janice of Caledon, their children Carla & Timothy (Valerie Power). Proud great grandfather of Micah Pearce & Amy Dickinson. Predeceased by his sisters Belle, Dorothy & Beulah. Rev. Dickinson was ordained in 1942 and served in the Manitoba & Northwestern Ontario District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada for more than 50 years. This family sorrows, but is also greatly comforted with the hope that only God provides. Friends are invited to share their memories of Rev. Passing of Jean Hunston
Jean Hunston went to be with the Lord on March 13, 2010. She held ROM credentials with EOD. She ministered alongside her husband Ramon in Saint John, NB, Welland ON and Belleville ON before retiring and returning to the UK in 1998. She was 76.
Passing of Rev. Margaret Bowen
This is to advise you that Rev. Margaret Bowen was welcomed into the
presence of her Saviour on Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Mrs. Bowen was predeceased by her husband, David, in October 2009. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Esther Turriff (Robert) and sons Allan (Irene) and David (Olena).
