Passing of Ethel Young
It is with heartfelt sympathy that we share with you that Mrs. Ethel Young went to be with the Lord yesterday afternoon, April 23, 2013. Ethel is the beloved wife of our former District Superintendent, Rev. Earl Young.
Visitation with family will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 2:00pm until 3:30pm followed immediately by the Memorial Service cared for by Church Of Hope Sarasota located at 1560 Wendell Kent Road, Sarasota, FL 34240 (941-923-1592).
Passing of Cathy Martin
For those of you who haven't heard via social media already, Cathy Martin passed away Monday, March 25th at Toronto General at 4:30 PM after a long, courageous fight. We prayed to the end for a miracle..., but God had other plans. She was an incredible woman of faith who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. An already fruitful life will continue to bear fruit for generations to come. Our one comfort is that after 20 years battling cancer, today she is pain-free and enjoying her reward with the Father whom she loved so much.
Cathy held the Ministry Related credential with IMD and was a Global Worker (RAN) with her husband, Mike. She also leaves behind a son.
Visitation will be this Friday, March 29th from 2 to 6 p.m. at Lakemount Worship Centre. The Service of Celebration will be held on Saturday, March 30th at 1 p.m. in the Lakemount Sanctuary. As a token of our love, following the Service of Celebration, the church will provide a reception in the gym for family and friends.
Passing of Miroslaw Milewski
Rev Miroslaw Milewski passed in the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, March 13, 2013. He was the Senior Pastor at the Polish Full Gospel Church in LaSalle, QC since 1999 until his passing. He leaves behind his wife Elizabeth, 3 sons and a daughter.
His funeral will be held in Montreal on Saturday, March 23 at 11:00 am. For further information, please contact Brother Adolfo Muravski.
Passing of Arnold Kalamen
Arnold Robert Kalamen passed away into the presence of His Lord on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the age of 89. Arnold received his credentials with the PAOC in 1945. He and his wife Audrey served in ministry across Canada including Quebec, New Brunswick,
Nova Scotia, British Columbia, and New Jersey, USA, before retiring in Kelowna, BC.
He is survived by his loving wife, Audrey and his two children, David Kalamen (wife, Carleen) and Barbara Giesbrecht (husband, Terry), five grandchildren and eleven great-grand-children.
Passing of Fred Howson
It is with sadness that I want to inform my PAOC friends of the passing of my mentor, friend and father, Rev. Fred Howson. Fred peacefully passed into the arms of Jesus this morning in Georgetown Hospital at 5am after a brief illness. He was surrounded by all his immediate family. He was born July 7, 1923, making him just under 4 months to his 90th birthday.
Dad has left me with a rich heritage, and his legacy and pioneering spirit will live on in my heart and the hearts of so many he touched with his life. His is a life that was lived for his Saviour and selflessly for many other people that he poured his life into in over 60 years as a PAOC pastor and a pioneer church-planter. Dad graduated from OPBC in 1944. His pastorates included, Bancroft, Ont., Arkona, Ont., Magnetewan, Ont., Burkes Falls, Ont., Lac du Bonnet, Mb, Rossburn, Mb, Altamont, Mb, Madsen, Ont., Manitouwadge, Ont., Amherstburg, Ont.,Wiseton, Sk, Saskatoon, Sk.,
• God gifted him with a servant's heart. He was gentle, faithfull, had a willing spirit and a cheerful heart. He was a soldier! He is survived by his wife Alma, sons Mark and Charles, grandchildren, Leigha, Ryan, Danae, Joshua and Jeffrey.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Georgetown Christian Fellowship, Georgetown Ontario, 905-873-9652. Viewing is at 2pm with a service at 3pm.

Passing of Minnie McQuarrie
Minnie McQuarrie passed into the presence of her Lord on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the age of 97. Minnie received her Deaconess credentials with the PAOC in 1937. She graduated from Bethel Bible Institute in 1939 and was married to William Gordon McQuarrie in 1940. She served in ministry in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, British Columbia, and was also a Missionary in Kenya, Africa from 1956-1966 and also in 1972-1986, before retiring in Abbotsford, BC.
Passing of Donald Strutt
Reverend Donald Strutt passed into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the age of 72. Don received his credentials with the PAOC in 1968 and was Ordained in 1970. He and his wife Ruth, served in ministry with the First Nations in Curve Lake, ON (1968-1972); pastored in Brighton, ON (1972-1989); Millbrook, ON (1989-1994); Armstrong, BC (1997-2003); Sicamous, BC (2003-2009); and, other various ministry work before retiring in Sicamous, BC.
Passing of Barbara Ellen Whitman
Barbara Ellen Wightman passed into the presence of her Lord on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Barbara received her Deaconess credentials with the PAOC in 1958. Working alongside her husband Ross, they pastored in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and British Columbia. They were also involved in evangelistic crusades and travels throughout Canada, the USA, Great Britain, Europe, China, Korea and Japan.
Passing of Arthur Rosenau
Arthur Rosenau passed away on Christmas Day. Arthur was credentialed in 1951 and ministered in Leroy, Forestburg, Camrose, Hinton, Edmonton and was involved in missions with IMD many times over the years of his ministry. A Celebration of Arthur's Life will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at The Park Pentecostal Church located at #1 Brower Drive, Sherwood Park, Alberta.
Sarah Michelle Tapley was born February 26, 2001, in Medicine Hat, Alberta. On November 29, 2012 in Grimsby, Ontario, our precious daughter Sarah passed from earth to heaven. We had hoped and prayed for a miraculous turnaround in her health. However, through her faith in Jesus Christ, Sarah overcame the world, it did not overcome her. Loved daughter of Matt and Lisa Tapley. Dear sister of Abby and Joey. Cherished granddaughter of Jim and Rosemary Chrysler and Rev. Dave and Doris Tapley. Dear niece of Calvin and Jenny Tapley, Esther and Kent Allison and Doug Chrysler. Sarah will also be lovingly remembered by her cousins, Jack, Lauren, Julia, Cassidy, Megan and Jett. Thank you to the staff at Naturomedic, Dr. Mike Prytula, Dr. Mike Um and Nurse Diana Taylor for their incredible care for Sarah’s health. Thanks also to our family doctor, Dr. Stephen Duncan and our home care nurse Sue Abrahams. Thanks to the staff and families at Smith School for the outpouring of love and support to our entire family for the duration of this journey. Passing of Arthur Wilkin
Rev. Arthur Wilkin passed into the presence of the Lord last evening in his 90th year. Arthur was first credentialed with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada in 1949. He and Ferne served pastorates in Peterborough, Enterprise, Coboconk, Lockeport NS, Windsor NS, Glace Bay NS and Bathurst NB before joining the teaching faculty at Eastern Pentecostal Bible College in 1968. “Brother Wilkin” taught at EPBC for twenty years before his retirement in 1988.

Rev John Stetsyuk passed into the presence of the Lord on Monday, November 26, 2012. He held his ordained minister credential with the Canadian Slavic Branch and pastored at the House of Prayer in London, Ontario, first as the Associate Pastor (1997-2009) and then as the Senior Pastor (2009-2012).
Passing of Lawrence Keller
Rev. Lawrence Keller passed into the presence of the Lord on Friday, October 26, 2012 at the age of 77. Lawrence graduated from the BC Bible Institute in 1957 and was first credentialed with the PAOC in 1967. He and his wife Karin, pastored in Steinbach, Manitoba; Hixon, BC; Fort Langley, BC; and, was the Seniors Pastor of WestWinds Community Church, Surrey. Lawrence was also Summit Pacific College Alumnus of the year in 2007.
Lawrence is the beloved husband of Karin; father to his sons, Jonathan (wife, Esther), David (wife, Cindy); father to his daughter, Deeann; and grandfather to their three grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua and Shelby.
Passing of Abigal Daher
Iglesia Evangelica Hispana Abigail went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 20th at the age of 75. Abigail served as the Seniors' Pastor at Eglesia Evangelica Hispana in Toronto.
Visitation will be Friday, November 23, 9:30 - 11 am at New Life Community Church located on 9281 Goreway Dr. Brampton. A memorial service celebrating the life of Abigail will be held at noon also at New Life Community Church followed by refreshments. Internment will be at Glenview Memorial Gardens 7541 Highway #50 R.R. #1 in Woodbridge with the vehicle procession starting at 2:00 PM.

Passing of Mrs. Louise Reinheimer
On Saturday, November 17, 2012, Louise Reinheimer, went home to be with her Lord at the age of 90. Louise was predeceased by her husband, Walter Reinheimer, who served as the District Superintendant of the Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario District from 1972 – 1982. Louise received her Deaconess credential with the PAOC in 1946.
In 1946, he Louise and Walter began their pastoral ministry at the Benito Pentecostal Church, the next year going to Victory Assembly in Altamont, MB and then in 1948 moving to Dauphin, MB to pastor the Pentecostal Assembly. In 1951, they began 22 years of pioneering ministry, first by starting the Glad Tidings Assembly in Red Lake, ON and then in 1960, moving to Thompson, MB to start the Pentecostal Assembly there. In 1972, at the District Conference that year, Walter was elected the District Superintendent for the Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario District and served in that capacity until stepping down in 1982. Walter then served as the Minister of Visitation at Calvary Temple in Winnipeg until retirement in 1991.

Passing of Rev. Clarence Ness
Rev. Clarence Ness passed in to the presence of the Lord on November 14, 2012 at the age of 88. He transferred into the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada in 1979 and served in itinerant ministrry as well as pastoring in Hodgeville and Outlook before retiring in Regina. He was predeceased by his wife, Ann, in 2001. He is survived by his son, Dwight, and his daughter, Valerie, their spouses and families.
Passing of Rev. Ivar Roset
It is with sadness, we inform you that Rev. Ivar A. Roset passed into the presence of his Lord on Friday, November 2, 2012. Ivar was born on September 17, 1924. To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife Elsie, daughter Maureen (Dennis) Scrabba, son Oral (Joy) Roset, daughter Arlene (Harvey) Trauter, 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, along with their families. Ivar was initially credentialed with the PAOC in 1952 and served faithfully alongside his wife in ministry in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. He also served with distinction as the District Superintendent for the Alberta and NWT District for 10 years. The funeral service for Ivar will be held at The Park Pentecostal Church in Sherwood Park, Alberta on Monday, November 12 at 11:00 am with a lunch following. Also viewing will be at the Church from 10:00 – 10:50 am. Please continue to pray for the Roset family.
Passing of Rev. Gary Leavitt
Rev. Gary Leavitt passed into the presence of his Lord on October 23, 2012 at the age of 71. Credentialed with the PAOC in 1967, he served in various churches in the Maritime District. He is survived by his wife Ethelwyn, their daughter Debra (David) Hillier and son Barry.

Passing of Rev. John Richardson
It is with mixed emotions that we inform you of the passing of Rev J.H. Richardson. Rev. Richardson was 100 years young and recently preached on his 100th birthday at Waterloo Pentecostal Assembly.
The viewing will be this Wednesday, October 24th at the Erb and Good funeral home (171 King Street, S., Waterloo, ON) from 6:00 to 9:00pm.
The funeral will be held at the Waterloo Pentecostal Assembly (395 King Street, N., Waterloo, ON) at 11:00 am Thursday, October 25th.

Mrs. Lettitia Mae Brown passed away at St. Joseph's Lifecare Center on Tuesday, August 14th,2012 at the age of 95 years. Loving wife of the late Rev. Victor Brown (2000). Cherished mother of Carolyn Haacke, Ruth (Donald) Greentree and Roberta(William) McCormick.Grandmother of Gordon (Julie) Simon. Crystal (Fred) Johnson and Catherine (Sean) O'Mara, Caroline (Chris) Goulet and Jared Mc Cormick. Great-grandmother of Ryan,Ferin and Brendon Simon,Megan and Jason Johnson.
Lettitia has faithfully served in ministry within The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. She received the Deaconess credential in 1945 and, later in 1963, received the Ministerial License for Women.
Passing of Rev. Reg Solmes
Rev. Reg Solmes passed into the presence of the Lord yesterday afternoon at the age of 92. Brother Solmes was first credentialed with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada in 1960 and served in churches and ministries across the former Eastern Ontario and Quebec District including Peterborough, Gaspe and Brownsburg QC and Kingston. Thank you for remembering Doris, their daughter Ruth (Bruce) Mill and family and their son Dave (Julie) and their family. Dave currently serves as Assistant Superintendent in the BC and Yukon District.

Passing of Margaret Cantwell
Margaret Cantwell served as a PAOC missionary for 30 years. She went to Kenya in 1950 and served there until her retirement in 1980. She taught at the Teacher Training College at Nyang’ori and later at the Bible College. Miss Cantwell was much loved by her many students; one notable college graduate being Rev. Simon Peter Emiau, who is today the General Superintendent of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Uganda.
On January 25th 2012, a 100th Birthday celebration was held for Miss Cantwell at Shepherd Village. We sent a dozen red roses on behalf of the Eastern Ontario District family to acknowledge this important milestone.
On June 26, 2012, Miss Cantwell went to be with the Lord. She was a faithful global worker and servant leader; a wonderful example to all of us.
Passing of Oliver Everett
Our office has been notified of the passing of Oliver Everett on April 15, 2012 at the age of 92. He began pastoring at House of Prayer, Berens River, MB in 1973, and was ordained with the PAOC in 1997. Brother Everett continued in ministry to the Berens River community until his death. The funeral service was held on April 19, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Berens River House of Prayer.
